Pupday ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Pupday iOS application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information to provide our services:
- Account information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique user identifier and optionally your name and email address.
- Dog profile data: Name, breed, gender, birth date, weight, and photo you provide for your dog.
- Health & activity data: Walk records (duration, distance, GPS route), feeding logs, water intake, and treat entries.
- Location data: GPS coordinates collected during walks to display route maps. Location is only collected while the app is in use or during an active walk session.
- Photos: Walk photos you choose to add from your camera or photo library.
- Social data: Friend connections, activity posts, and comments you share within the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide core app features: walk tracking, feeding logs, health statistics.
- To enable social features: sharing activities with friends.
- To send push notifications about your dog's care reminders and friend activity.
- To calculate personalized health metrics for your dog.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore) with servers located in Europe (Warsaw, Poland). Your dog's basic data and walk history are also stored locally on your device.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Your information is only shared:
- With friends you explicitly connect with inside the app.
- With Firebase/Google for cloud storage and push notifications (subject to Google's privacy policy).
- With Apple for Sign in with Apple authentication and in-app purchases.
5. In-App Purchases
Pupday offers an optional premium subscription processed through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. All billing is handled by Apple.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@pupday.app.
7. Children's Privacy
Pupday is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@pupday.app.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the date at the top of this page.
