Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
Pupday ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information We Collect
- Account: when you sign in with Apple, we receive an identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name. We do not receive your Apple password.
- Dog & care data: the information you enter — your dog's profile, walks, feeding, water, treats, weight, and health records.
- Location: during an active walk, the app uses your device location to measure route, distance, and duration. Location is used only while you are tracking a walk and is not shared with other users (shared walk cards never include your route or map).
- Social content: if you use friends features, your dog's name, photo, and activity you choose to share are visible to friends you connect with.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide the app's features: tracking, statistics, reminders, and social sharing. We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
Storage & Processing
Data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and Cloud Messaging). Your care data is synced to your account so it is available across your devices and to household co-owners you invite.
Notifications
With your permission, we send reminders and friend-activity notifications. You can turn these off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.
Your Choices & Account Deletion
You can edit or remove your data in the app. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Deletion removes your account, profile, dogs you solely own, and your social data.
Children
Pupday is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
